Everyday (regardless of what time it its) there are a dozen or so teenage sitting on our door stoop on the street. I've found this really odd, b/c I don't see kids anywhere else except for our door. I was starting to think that maybe there was a popular kid who lived in our building and this was just a favorite hangout. But, today - I spent the afternoon at the park (Jardin des Tuileries) and on my way back, I saw police roping off our side of the street and a huge crowd of people in front of my door. It occurred to me that these kids weren't here for my building, they're here to see people coming and going from the Park Hyatt Vendome which is directly across the street from my front door. I found out that a popular French band is staying there - Cullier? (I've never heard of them.)
But its nice to know what's going...I'm knocking over kids everytime I open the front door =)
